The Senior Financial Analyst (Costing) will be responsible for analysing, interpreting, and forecasting financial data to aid the decision-making process in the Life Science industry. The role requires a person with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of costing principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.

Job Description

  • Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support.
  • Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization.
  • Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Financial Analyst (Costing) should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
