You will play a key role in leading and managing the daily operations of the entire manufacturing facility. As the Sr Operations Director, you will be responsible for ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate for this position will need to have experience in managing manufacturing operations, excellent leadership and communication skills.

About Our Client

This company is one of the largest tooling manufacturers, provide high-quality engineering solutions, including product design, process development, and quality assurance across various industries. This company is currently undergoing a factory expansion, and is looking for a Senior Operations Director to oversee the day to day manufacturing operations.

Job Description

  • Manage ramp-up of production lines and secure output targets are achieved
  • Drive product related quality aspects and improvement projects
  • Drive performance and cost management, implement relevant KPIs
  • Establish reliable production planning and steering
  • Define and execute operational strategy for the site
  • Ensure compliance with standards as for example IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and 14001
  • Responsible for EHS requirements for the site
  • Manage facility and utilities required for production

The Successful Applicant

  • Long standing experience in running high volume production
  • Proven experience in production ramp-up
  • Sound experience in people management
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Fluent in use or production relevant tools such as lean, SixSigma, 5S and PDCA
  • Quick comprehension, analytical way of thinking
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure, flexibility
  • Knowledgeable in SAP
  • Fluent in English language (written and spoken) with good communication
  • Experienced with metal (stainless steel, titanium, aluminum) and plastics machining preferred
  • Knowledgeable of CNC machine tools is preferred by not required; CNC Horizontal and Vertical Mills, 5-Axis, Lathes, and EDM.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering (preferred). Equivalent work experience will be considered.
